David Harrison, West Coast Territory
David got his start in the beauty industry in 1991 as a buyer for Revlon, at their consumer products manufacturing facility in Phoenix, AZ. After two years, he elected to make a move to the distribution side of the business and became a buyer for Armstrong McCall in Austin, TX. There, he gained valuable experience buying professional beauty products for one of the largest distributors in the U.S.
Leveraging this experience and the brand knowledge he absorbed, David decided to change gears into sales. He joined Jay Stone Sales as a Manufacturer’s Sales Rep in 1995, covering a large portion of the SW territory.
A rare opportunity for a rep came to David in 2010, when he was asked to join Van Nest Company and cover the Bay Area and northern California market for VNC brands, in ADDITION to his duties at JSS! This has proven to be a very successful experiment for both David and for Van Nest Company. He has managed to grow the northern California market by well over 50% since his start, and continues to fully service and grow both territories today.
David’s versatility, knowledge and sales strength contributes greatly to the ongoing success of Van Nest Company.
