Kevin Van Nest holds a lifetime of commitment to the beauty industry. He went to work at 16 with a major Midwest distributor, and through hard work and a willingness to accept new opportunities worked his way onto the upper management team.

The invaluable knowledge and experience Kevin accumulated over 15 years there, opened new doors and fresh opportunities. He joined the rep organization of Bienvenu Cottam in 1984, bringing his prior distributor experience and knowledge to the team. At the same time, he was working with Gena Laboratories, a beauty industry manufacturer, directing their sales efforts.

Making the decision to concentrate fully on the rep business, he eventually became a partner and ultimately the principal owner in 1990. A name change and fresh strategies brought VNC through significant industry changes and the distributor consolidations of the 90’s.

Over the ensuing years, VNC achieved tremendous growth and enlarged territory coverage, solidified partnerships with distributors and manufacturers and maintained a close-knit, family feeling with the sales force and office staff.

In 2016, with significant direction and personnel changes and a new vision for Van Nest Company, Kevin and his company continue to stay in tune with trends, new avenues of distribution and new business and social media technology to ensure growth for the company, its vendors and its manufacturers.
